I can take it or leave it I think any damage it does to fisheries can be fixed but I don't like the thought of a high level competitive pro angler using it just doesn't seem fair to the fish but on the other hand I enjoy guys like you and Josh jones using it to show the would giant bass before they die of old age, I try to find videos that don't involve ffs for the most part because I don't have it on my boat but I'm not saying I never will.

Funny watching you ffs guys throwing the same dam jigs and claiming some sort of talent in that. 16 rods on your deck but only need one. Bass tournaments will be like a cafeteria during a high school lunch. Everyone staring at a screen but no true talent. Gone are the days when Paul Elias would dunk his rod in the water to get his crankbaits deeper. When raw talent and true imagination won tournaments. What's coming of competitive bass fishing is just sad. Perhaps that is the new generations intent. Therein the evolution begins. I think a hybrid tournament format would work. Limit the use of ffs, 360, side scan, etc...

To each their own. Buy I fish to be 1 with nature and catch fish without a screen. Relying on my intuition, experience and knowledge

It’s a tool and doesn’t catch fish. Does it help? Sure, I can also find and catch fish with my 2d, SI,DI. I know guys with FFS but suck at both fishing and electronics and it doesn’t help them one bit. Guys who say it’s spotlighting probably shoot deer from a stand over a food plot or bag of corn 😂.

Its super hard to learn to use it effectively. Especially for people that are a little bit older and dont see that well like myself. Its not ruining anything its just frustrating watching these youngsters having all the fun 😂

It's real fishing but I have no interest in it. I could put it on my boat, the money is not the issue for me. I like fishing for the time outside and the adrenaline when you get bit, and ffs takes a lot of that away from my perspective. It's hard to appreciate the great days when when you don't get skunked once in a while. And it's doubly frustrating when you get skunked but you can see the fish turning you down.

Man Mike I wished u still lived in Florida and fished the Harris Chain. I live in Daytona Bch and miss ur old videos down here. I remember the video where u and ur buddy caught like 48lbs five fish limit cranking deep plugs. I fished the chain a few times when I was a kid. I fished Apopka a lot from the shore back when it was still polluted. I actually always caught fish back then too. I fished Apopka's spring that was cool. I hope u come down and do some more videos like old times. Thanks for ur videos. U have some really technical videos u really explain things for people in very simple ways.

I absolutely love it and wouldn't want to fish offshore again without it. I don't miss the days of idling for hours and hours and lining up waypoints. I wish you had more non-FFS tournaments out there. I suspect you don't see many because those that whine the most wouldn't enter anyways....

Watch Todd Castledine’s latest video. It’s a lot better and more comprehensive view on what FFS is. It’s not always casting to a fish. I hardly ever use it to “scope fish” but it helps me see brush, grass, rock etc

I catch them every time I go! Do I use exclusively no! I catch and release so I don’t see it ruining anything. We still have the DNR regulations that everyone should follow and the DNR still checking the health of the lakes

I have seen this more than once on logan martin lake where i lived in alabama for years. I have never thought tournament fishing is a good idea. Mix money and ego and this is what you get.

It's to good for pros to exploit ever advantage it has to offer. Its has so many negative impacts for the sport as a whole. For the regular guy that just wants to go fishing on the weekend if he can, i dont see a problem with it. Pros using it to single fish out to get their jerkbait back they broke off on is unsettleing to watch to be honest, although seeing Trey do it was neat, I think thats insane to be allowed in a "pro" tournament... its too good of a tool for pros though

Some states are just recently putting stricter limits on crappie because of FFS. I say put limits on the FFS anglers only. They’re the ones who caused it. These guy’s rarely caught limits and now catch limits every time they go out.

Sorry Mikey but FFS is not real fishing. And for the guys who say it doesn't make fish bite, the fact you can pick out certain size bass and relentless target it over and over, it eventually will bite. It's spotlighting. Or the same as just putting tracking device on deer and using a GPS to shoot them instead of traditional setting up a spot using your knowledge of how be successful.

I have FFS and use it more like 360. I can see brush piles, clumps of grass and any other structure out in front of me. I see a lot of fish but rarely catch what I’m seeing. I find that FFS is nothing but a tool to save me from wasting time casting at a brush pile that is not there. It’s just another set of eyes. The critics of FFS should not even be commenting unless they have first hand documentation that it is harmful. Most just state their opinions which means nothing.

I am okay - like seeing how well the young guns catch them. As far as over harvesting - people need to exercise more restraint and harvest responsibility. In my area, when the crappies are biting - people decimated the fish before FFS.

I don't like it, I don't have it, I won't use it. I do think it's having and will continue to have a negative effect on fisheries. But the cat is out of the bag and most likely will never go back in. It has and will cause legislation on size and number keep limits for all kinds of fish. There are pros and cons to it. But I think it is a net negative.

I go fishing to catch fish not sit around and drink beer, so if FFS helps me catch fish that’s awesome. Maybe we should practice catch and release even when fun fishing or push for lowering bag limits

I think it depends on the fishery and species.

Can afford it, still don't want it. I don't mind using electronics to find structure and accurately position myself to it, but I have no desire to ever see what the fish are doing, how they're reacting to my lure or retrieve, much less know the moment they'll strike. Those are things I like to work through in my head, and that feeling of finally getting bit is a payoff I don't want to see coming. Don't care what anyone else does, it's just not for me. Plus I already have a bad neck, staring down at a screen would make me a grade A dummy for that alone haha

I have it. Use it sometimes...its just a tool, dont make the fish bite. It's a luxury that others are jealous of. But the blaukat agenda is complete stupidity.

FFS Is the shitz can't afford it want it my DI SI still amazes me any advantage is ok in my book all the top guys have or get it free so I don't think it should be an issue for top tournament fishermen

I do miss just fishing but I am a fan of FFS. I however am against having 4/5 transducers on the boat.

If it was $200 everyone would have it on their boats. Then if that was the case, would fishing look completely different? Would the lure wall look completely different? Would the fish evolve into a different pattern because instead of 4 or 5 boats at any single time having FFS, now its 40 boats a day with FFS beaming around? To me its like the crazy metal bats in summer baseball. Once people see a tiny kid barely swing and hit a ball over the wall, EVERYONE either wants it or thinks its cheating. At the end of the day though, they do ban the bats....so theres that.

Dude you give the most detail on lures of anyone. Your a hard core fisherman too and that helps you to know what we need from the lure. You also are on top of what's new. What pound test line for each technique would be a great video too. Thanks man for the hard work.
